Bloomgarden, Solomon (Jehoash; Yehoash)

(1870-1927)
   American Yiddish poet and author of Lithuanian origin. He emigrated to the US in 1890. He wrote dramas, poems, fables, folktales and stories, and translated the Bible into Yiddish. With C. D. Spivak he compiled a dictionary of Hebrew and Aramaic elements in the Yiddish language.
